Scriptaluna Press Announces Aurora Cantus: A Poet's Book of Hours,
the First Poetry Collection by Silvia Passiflora
Thirty-three poems — June 19, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA, GA — April 30, 2026 — Scriptaluna Press announces the forthcoming publication of Aurora Cantus: A Poet's Book of Hours, the first poetry collection by Southern Gothic Folk poet-songwriter Silvia Passiflora. The collection gathers thirty-three poems written between July 2025 and April 2026 — most of them during the Grammy® consideration period, a process as time-sensitive as it is largely invisible to the outside world. Passiflora navigated it without a map, in two music cities, without finding another artist who had been through it. She wrote prolifically so the grief would have somewhere to go. Aurora Cantus is structured after the medieval Book of Hours — a devotional form made for women who needed language that spoke to their lives directly, without waiting for permission. The form chose itself.

"After the hard birthing / of twin albums / that nearly bled her, /
she wasn't waiting for a sign. / She'd had enough of signs."
— "Enough of Signs" Silvia Passiflora (August 2025)

Passiflora is a Georgia-based artist with a catalog approaching 2,000 published poems, two Grammy®-considered albums (Incarnata and Florentinae, released August 2025), and a growing body of poetic screenplays including the serialized Midnight Fields. Aurora Cantus is the first work she has drawn from that catalog for publication as a collection.

The collection is organized in four sections. Dawn, Noon, Between, Again and spans the months of the Grammy® consideration period, the silence that followed, and the poems that held what could not be spoken elsewhere. Again, the last section, closes the collection with poems written between January and April 2026, alongside the early drafts of Midnight Fields.

The title is Latin for dawn song. Scriptaluna — the press that publishes it — means writing under the moon.

Aurora Cantus: A Poet's Book of Hours will be published by Scriptaluna Press on June 19, 2026. More information is available at silviapassiflora.com/aurora-cantus-a-poet-s-book-of-hours
